Choosing a Georgia attorney when you or a loved one have been seriously injured or killed is an extremely important decision. As Georgia trial attorneys, we have dedicated ourselves to representing individuals who have been seriously injured, killed, or financially harmed by the actions of others. We serve as local counsel for attorneys outside of Georgia and welcome opportunities to associate on significant cases throughout the United States.

We are Georgia trial attorneys who recognize that personal injuries not only cause physical pain, but often emotional and financial hardship through loss of work, medical bills, and stress placed upon families and loved ones. We often take our physical and mental well-being for granted—until something goes wrong and our lives are forever changed. Simple pleasures become chores. Daily routines are disrupted. Economic losses are often devastating. Whether caused by an automobile accident, defective product, or other negligent, careless, or reckless conduct, our goal is to offer you aggressive legal representation in a highly ethical manner so you can focus on getting better and spending time doing the things you love again.

Michael L. Werner

Michael L. Werner graduated from the University of Georgia. He then attended and graduated from Emory School of Medicine where he specialized in anesthesiology. Practicing medicine, he witnessed first-hand how automobile wrecks destroy peoples’ lives and dreams.

It was this experience that drove him to become a trial attorney and fight for the rights of injured victims. Werner’s goal was to help those whose lives’ have been torn apart through no fault of their own and help clients rebuild and bring back dignity all while ensuring that justice prevails.

Werner specializes in cases that deals with catastrophic injuries, whether they were due to tractor trailer, motorcycle or car wrecks. Werner realizes that an attorney must not only be well versed in the law, but understand the medicine involved in his clients’ injuries, because his clients will likely require medical care for the rest of their lives and it is essential that they get the care they need well after the verdict or settlement. Werner ensures that justice prevails for his clients and only takes a limited number of cases to guarantee that each client gets his individual and personal attention.

Matthew Q. Wetherington

In the courtroom, Matt takes on powerful defendants and wins. He fights for victims of defective products, reckless drivers, and corporate fraud. His clients have won verdicts and settlements totaling over $80 million through Matt’s work ethic, creativity, and enthusiasm. In 2014, Matt was one of the youngest attorneys ever selected by the Daily Report as “On the Rise,” an annual list of forty attorneys who have made a difference and will continue to do so in the future. Out of the courtroom, Matt helps his clients put their lives back together. He also works to empower others to make informed decisions about their health, safety, and financial well-being.

Matt’s efforts have sparked legislation and federal investigations, and protected millions of families from dangerous products. While representing victims of catastrophic tire failures, Matt took additional action to protect other families from suffering the same fate. He personally compiled a list of almost ten million recalled tires and founded the Tire Safety Group to keep the list up to date and freely available. Through its website and free mobile apps, the Tire Safety Group is the only service in the world that instantly detects aged or recalled tires. Even a frequent critic of Matt’s role in holding the tire industry accountable, Tire Review magazine, praised his work as being “for the benefit of his fellow man.”

Benjamin Z. Levy

Ben Levy has won more jury trials in three years than most attorneys do in a lifetime. In an era when few attorneys ever see the inside of a courtroom and even fewer actually try cases, Ben Levy stands out as one of the youngest attorneys in history to rack up more than 10 civil jury trial victories in Georgia.

Ben has had the good fortune of learning from excellent attorneys at every step of his career, and he gets results by litigating each case as if it will go to trial. He meticulously examines all angles in order to anticipate and effectively counter the opposing attorneys’ moves, and he understands how each piece of the case fits into the overall trial strategy. His attention to detail, proactive maneuvering, and tireless work ethic are the tools that keep him ahead of the competition.
